Emily (Woodland) Fonnesbeck

After graduation, I attended Dixie State College.  It was there that I met my now husband, Brady Fonnesbeck in a chemistry class (insert lame chemistry joke here).    We were both in our last semesters there and I had already made the decision to attend BYU the next semester so he followed me up there.  We were married in April of 2002 and lived in Provo and the Salt Lake area for the next three years.  I finished my Bachelors in Dietetics in 2004 and then completed an internship through BYU finishing in May of 2005.  That same year, Brady finished his Bachelors in Biology Composite Teaching.  The day after I finished my internship we welcomed our first baby, JC (now 5).  Brady was offered a job at Pine View Middle School teaching Earth Systems so we moved back to St. George.  When JC was about 8 months old, I started teaching nutrition classes at night at The Body Shop Spa, now known as The Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge in Ivins.  It has been the ideal job for me and I really enjoy it and the new opportunities that have come with it.  Brady transferred to Desert Hills High School the year it opened and has taught biology, chemistry and physics there for the past couple of years.  He also coaches freshman football.  Just last month he finished his Masters in Educational Leadership through SUU.  But our most exciting news lately has been the adoption of our second baby, Ben, in January.  It has been an amazing experience and we are so blessed to have him.  Our lives are busy and a delicate balancing act but we love everything we do!

Ken Ence

Hey, everyone!  While I won't be able to make it to the reunion, I wanted to drop in my update as well.  Let's see, in 2000 after high school I took off to BYU for a year of college.  In August 2001, I left to Costa Rica for a mission.  It was a great experience in my life and one I will never forget.  After returning in August of 2003, I jumped right back into school at BYU and completed my studies there, graduating with a degree in biology.  I graduated in 2007 and continued straight into dental school in San Francisco where I have been since then.  Now, yet another graduation is coming up fast here and I've got a job lined up practicing in Colorado, which is where I expect and hope I will be for a long time to come.

Somewhere in that mess of schooling, I met my wife, Barbara.  She is from Hawaii and was my neighbor at BYU.  We were married in April of 2005 and just celebrated our 5 year anniversary (please save all Ken and Barbie jokes for the end).  Our first daughter, Laura, was born in December 2006 and our second daughter, Violet, joined us last September (9/9/09 at 9:00 PM, I kid you not).  We've felt incredibly blessed with our little family.  Hopefully somewhere in the future it will also include a son!

So after 10 long years of mostly school, we will be in the St. George area in late June for a brief, though well-deserved respite before beginning the long Ence tradition of dentistry.  Best of luck to you all!

Heather (Heger) Wadsworth

It is so fun to see how you are all doing :)
Well, I went on to Dixie State and received my Associates Degree of Science in 2002.  After graduation I went on a trip with my best friend, Josh, to California where he proposed.  We were married on August 3, 2002.  I was then accepted into Dixie's Dental Hygiene Program and graduated in 2005.  Now that we were both done with school we decided to buy a new home in Washington and start a family.  Addilyn Grace was born on January 27, 2006.  She was the best baby and is a very sweet girl!  She is our little angel.  Addilyn just graduated from her first year of preschool (tear).  Afton D was born on  June 9, 2008.  He is so much fun!  This kid has a ton of personality and a great sense of humor.  We are also expecting our third baby later this year.  Whaaa hooo, why not?  It keeps things interesting.  Josh received a position with Washington County as an appraiser and manages their pictometry projects.  I am now seeing patients only one day a week with Twiss Family Dentistry.  We enjoy spending time as a family, going to our family cabin on Kolob, wake boarding and I always seem to have something crafty up my sleeve.  Here's to 10 more years of BLISS!

Nycole (Driggs) Rosen

Hello friends! Many of you may not remember me, since I bailed out a little early in senior year. But here's a little update on what's been happening since then. I completed my high school credits through BYU's Independent Study and graduated in January of 2000. I was married in March of the same year to my sweetheart, Aaron Rosen.

We moved up to Salt Lake where he has been in law enforcement and radio and I have worked in the staffing industry. I spent a few years as a corporate trainer teaching employment law and other staffing related workshops. I loved my job, but it required extensive travel and when my son was born in 2005, I decided to make a change. I continued with the same company doing remote training via webinars on conference calls. I am now in my 11th year with the company and have recently moved to the IT department. (Yeah-I'm a computer geek!) I will be graduating in July with my BS in Business Administration.

We live in Saratoga Springs (Utah) where Aaron is a Corporal in the police department. It's a small town, but we are close enough to SLC that we can get out into civilization whenever we want to. We love our little corner of the world and especially enjoy the views of the lake!

Aaron and I have a five year old son, Jordan, who is a delight! He will start kindergarten in the fall--which he is thrilled about. He is also very excited to come play next week at the park. The child lives to play with friends...so look forward to a new buddy for your munchkins! See you all next week!

I too will echo the fact that I can't believe it has been 10 years!!  After reading through people's posts I couldn't help but feel blessed to be a part of the greatest graduating class ever.  You guys rock!  After my mission to Costa Rica I hung around St. George for awhile doing a little bit of this and that, but mostly traveling with 3 on 3 Live running the tournaments.  I finally decided to go back to school in 2004 - 2005 at the University of Utah where I met my amazing wife Shirlene.  She had recently graduated from the "U" with her bachelors in Nursing when I met her and was working at the Huntsman Cancer Research Hospital.  She loves working with Cancer Patients.  After a year of living in Salt Lake we bought a house in Provo where we still reside today.  Jonathan was born October 2006 and fifteen months later Sarah was born in Febuary 2007.  They are best friends, and honestly are by far the cutest kids in the world.  They fill our home with joy everyday.  I was hired in 2007 by Costco to work in the Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.  Recently I was promoted to work as an Outside Marketer for Costco and have enjoyed working for Costco as it is "everyone's favorite store".  I graduated from UVU back in Decemeber 2009 in Secondary History Education and hope to find a High School History Teaching Job soon.  I look forward to reading more about the many exploits of the Class of 2000 as you continue to post updates on the blog.

Jon Walter

Hi.  I'm Julie.  Jon's making me write this, so here we go.  :)  I think I can speak for Jon (since I've been by him for most of the last 10 years), when I say that the last 10 years have been fantastic.  After graduating from high school Jon went to Dixie State College for a year before leaving on his mission to Portugal in the summer of 2001.  We had dated for a few months before he left, and when he got home in 2003, things just fell into place and we were married 5 months later.  After he returned home he started working for NAI Commercial Real Estate.  We were able to graduate with our Associate's Degrees and walk through the "D" together in 2004.  We bought our home in St. George in July 2005 where we've lived ever since.  Jon received his Bachelor's in Business Administration in 2006 from DSC.  We have the 2 sweetest kids in the world.  Lizzy is 5 and will start Kindergarten in the fall, and Sam in 8 months.  They both look just like their dad!  Jon is the best husband and the sweetest dad.  Lizzy and Sam adore him.  We're very excited to see everybody soon!
This picture is from Lizzy's dance recital a couple of weeks ago.  "Aunt Ang" is also in the picture.

Coryell (Madsen) Potter

Hello friends of 2000!

I have been reading and enjoying everyone's blogs so much that I have put off writing one myself:)  I decided to get to it, so here goes...

After graduating from Snow Canyon, I accepted a scholarship to SUU in Cedar City.  I had the most wonderful roommates, we called ourselves the B-5 girls, and we still keep in touch to this day (hi Rachel).  I returned to St. George, finished my Associates Degree, and got accepted into Dixie State's first Elementary Education Program.  I have always wanted to be a teacher, probably because of all the good teachers in my life.

I put secular learning on hold to serve a full time mission.  I packed my bags and grabbed my "sticks" and left for the great OHIO!  I never could have imagined how those 18 months could transform me.  I met some incredible people who changed my life forever.

When I got home I finished up my degree at Dixie, and got my first teaching job!  I am about to wrap up my fourth year teaching 4th grade at Coral Cliffs Elementary here in St. George.  During these working years I have also become very studious, I completed my Master's Degree last May.

In March 2009, I also met and married my sweetheart Robb Potter.  We met at the adult singles ward.  Singing in choir and quartets brought us together (so Charla...there is hope!)  We have only been married just over a year now and I am so happy he found me.  No children of our own YET, but seeing all your family photos is highly motivating.

I look forward to mingling with most of you at the reunion!

Emily (Gubler) & Nate Caplin

After high school, I(Emily) attended Dixie and later transferred to SUU where I graduated with a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education.  In August of 2003 I married my sweetheart, Nate Caplin, after he served a Spanish-speaking mission in Long Beach, California.  I taught 3rd grade for four years, while Nate attended school and worked.  Since the birth of our daughter Madeline in 2008, I have been working part time from home for the Washington County School District as an Online Supervising Teacher.  Nate graduated from BYU Law School in April 2010 and will earn a master’s in American history this December.  Nate loves teaching Writing and Rhetoric at BYU and hopes to have many more teaching experiences in higher education.
A couple of years ago, we traveled to Israel where Nate studied law at Bar-Ilan University.  Last summer, Nate introduced me to the Deep South—we lived in Mississippi where Nate worked for a civil rights law firm.  We loved it there.  The people were kind, the weather was hot, and the food was delicious.  It was amazing to see so many seafood and BBQ restaurants on every street!
We can’t wait to see everyone this summer!  It will be so much fun catching up with all of you!

Spring (Hall) Black

We are getting O - L - D!
After graduating High School I attended the University of Utah for 2
years and than transferred to Utah State where I graduated in Finance
May 2005. My Husband (Ryan) and I were married in June 2005 after
dating for 9 months.  My husband went back to school to earn his
Masters in Molecular Biology while I worked as an Account Manager in
Logan until our daughter (Poppy) was born in June 2007. Ryan was
offered a job with a Bio Tech company, creating "Green Energy"  in
Houston shortly after Poppy was born, and we've lived here in Houston,
TX ever since.  Since moving to Houston we have been blessed we two
beautiful sons Joseph, whom we lost at child birth, and Oliver who is
a healthy and happy 3 month old. For the most part I spend my time
chasing my crazy kids around, but do get out a couple times a week to
teach aerobics at LA Fitness. We are a happy little family enjoying
our "ever after."

We head out west a couple times a year and generally try to plan it
around the snow season and family so unfortunately the class reunion
doesn't fall in either category so we won't be able to make it. I'm
sure it will be a blast though...

Emily (Esplin) Chapman

Are we really this old?... When did that happen? It is so fun to see what everyone has been up to. Great job on putting together this blog (whoever is in charge of it). Since high school I moved to Provo, Salt Lake and back home when I finally decided I wanted to go to USU. I moved to Logan and changed my mind AGAIN ha and went to hair school instead. I moved back home after a couple years (too much snow for me) and met my amazing husband at the salon I was working at. We were married in 2006 and have been having so much fun for the last four years. In 2008 our little miracle baby Cru came into our lives much earlier than expected and things have been busy, crazy and fun since. A month ago we had our second cute little man Bo and things have gotten even more busy and even more fun. I am now a stay at home mom and couldn't be happier with how my life is.  I can't wait to see everyone and catch up on everything that is going on!

Ten years... CRAZY!

Amelia (Laws) Duke

After graduation I attended Dixie College for a year and a half.  I spent one summer in Jackson Hole, WY working at an old fashioned photo studio and a candy shop.  The next year, I decided I really wasn’t happy at Dixie, so I moved to Orem to attend UVSC.  I was there for a year, graduated with an associate degree, and had roommates who changed my life.  They ranted and raved about how marvelous Utah State was, so off I went.  I spent the next 4 years in Logan where I attended school full-time, and was lucky enough to meet and marry my husband Brent.  It was there that I found my passion and finally decided on a major.  I graduated in 2006 with a BS degree in Elementary Education, and then in 2007 with a MEd degree in Deaf Education and Communicative Disorders.  After graduation, I found a great job in South Carolina, and we moved across the country.  In August 2009 we had our first baby, Tylie, and she is the joy of our life!  My husband is a full-time student at the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) working toward a Master degree in Athletic Training.  I teach reading, English, math, transition (and anything else that comes up) to a group of deaf students at a local high school, and I LOVE my job!  I also work part-time for a photography company taking team, individual, and action pictures at sporting events.  We plan to be in the South for one more year, and then hopefully back out west…we miss the mountains!  I wish I could make it to the reunion, but I can’t wait to hear all about it.

Melissa (Merrill) Spragg

After graduation I was ready to go play college volleyball up north...  but  just as I was headed up the head coach was fired and the new coach already had her roster in mind and I was not on it...   by the time all of this drama happened it was too late to sign on anywhere else.  I am sure my life would be entirely different if I had been able to go and that is the only thing that keeps me from being sad about it!   I moved out and attended Dixie College for a bit, then took a detour and went to Hair School here in town.  I married my best friend and 'high school sweetheart' Curtis "Bubba" Spragg after he came home from his mission in Southern Italy!   Then I started working...  a lot!  I got a job working at a salon (part time) and at Southern Utah Title (full time) and I coached the JV Volleyball team at Snow Canyon (5 years)!  Curtis got on with the St. George Police Dept. (5 years now) and loves what he does!  In the mean time I switched from the title company to the 2nd floor and went to work for Re/Max in Real Estate.  We built a home in Washington Fields and started expanding our family.  Lana Morgan is 4 and is so excited to go to Kindergarten!  She is a total tomboy and my very best friend!  Caleb Gabriel is 2 and the sweetest thing to walk the earth! (at least that is what his primary teachers say)  He really does melt your heart!  I quit the coaching and the real estate when we had Caleb in 2008 and now I am enjoying life as full time mom with a few part time hobby jobs!  I do hair from my salon at my home and teach Photoshop Elements classes.  I am still playing volleyball every chance I get and within the past 2 years have grown to enjoy competing in triathlons and road biking.  Curtis is preparing for a half ironman this summer, the St. George marathon, and then the St. George Ironman in 2011!

I have loved reading about everyone and hope more people post!  We are excited to see everyone and their cute families!  See you soon!

Hello all!  Those 10 years flew by like a blink of an eye! I suppose i should give an update on what i've been doing...  Well after high school i spent most of my time working working working. Changing jobs here and there. Saving and spending. You know how it goes. I hid myself for a while in the local music scene but eventually ended up recovering for many years from extensive surgeries. All is well and i have just finished my first year of college! Recently married this last september (9-9-09) And loving every minute of it! No children yet but enjoying two crazy puppies and moving into a larger house with a yard so they can run around! Sadly my life is too crazy to attend the reunion, so everyone enjoy!

Kelly (Blunck) Niederhauser

It's been so fun to hear from so many of you! As for me - after high school I attended Dixie State College of Utah (maybe you've heard of it?) where, thanks to Katie Crofts, I met my future husband, Casey, who introduced me to outdoorsy stuff like rock and ice climbing and fancy stuff like graphic design and programming (all of which I never thought I'd like). We both received our bachelors degrees in Visual Technology at Dixie and then worked for a few years at SkyWest Airlines as multimedia developers. I left SkyWest in 2006 when our first daughter, Eva, was born. We had another girl, Mae, in 2008 and they are my greatest joy and greatest challenge! Casey now works as a web designer for upillar.com and freelance photographer. I stay home with the girls and try to keep my brain active in various pursuits :) I joined a book club once, but the pressure to finish a book on time reminded me too much of Mrs. Jensen's 9th grade English class. We've strayed as far as Washington, UT, but thankfully working for an airline afforded us many opportunities to travel the world. So life has been good!

I appreciate everyone's excitement about getting together and hope you'll all feel comfortable to come and have a good time!

(and don't forget to email your survey answers!)

Julie (Graf) Flowers

 Hey Everyone,
It's been so great to read about everyone... WOW! 10 Years really? We aren't that old right?  Well after High School I continued to work at Pasta Factory and I (tried) to go to Dixie College for a second... (literally) but instead of finishing the Semester... I decided to take a job at Dixie Title Company instead of College... So I worked both jobs in St. George for a couple of years and then I re-met my now Husband Bucky Flowers (SCHS 1999) right after he returned home from his mission to Brazil in Jan 2002.  We ran into each other randomly for a few months and started dating in July 2002... Engaged in Jan 2003... Married March 2003.  Bucky is an entrepreneur by heart so we have had many adventures in many businesses throughout our marriage.  From a Live Music Venue(The Electric Theater), Clothing Exchange Store(SWITCH), Web/Design Companies, and a Music "School of Rock" for kids 8-18yrs(The Academy).  During and in between his adventures Bucky also received his Bachelors degree in Psychology at SUU, and he will soon go back to get his PHD.  We have had a Great and Crazy Life so far... and now Bucky works for THE MAN... haha at Overstock.com he is the Creative and Web Design Manager and he loves it.  We moved up to Draper, UT last year (June 2009) and still can't believe why we didn't leave sooner.  Don't get me wrong I like St. George both our families are there... but we LOVE where we are now!  We have 3 amazing kids Gabe (5 1/2), Ethan (3 1/2), & Lauren (1) and I LOVE being a stay at home Mom.  I can't wait to see you ALL at the Reunion... so you better come if it's possible!  Being Too Cool for the 10 year reunion is LAME... (I understand if it's a distance or baby thing though).

Micah Paul Keith & Co.

Unbelievable - 10 years?!  I was so glad to read all about how everyone is doing and so glad things are going well for many of us.  Let's get more people on this blog so we know what is going on!

As for what happened to Micah Paul, I attended SUU, left to Portland to serve a mission, and returned and completed my bachelor's degree.  Following school, I worked for a start-up consulting firm in St. George and married the most amazing woman ever, Sarah Lawson, after she had returned home from Poland.  We were married in July of 2007, and shortly after, I accepted an offer to attend MBA school at Carnegie Mellon University (Tepper School of Business) in Pittsburgh, PA.  Before I left, Jon Walter was one of my bosses for a project I did for NAI - thanks, boss!
So, we moved out to Pittsburgh, and two years later, I'm done with the program, we had two beautiful children while here, Asher (19 months) and Elsa (2 weeks)!  We'll be staying in Pittsburgh for years to come since I've accepted an offer to work for Heinz beginning this summer as an associate brand manager.  (So if you ever come on out to PA, give us  a heads up!)

I am excited to see all of you at the reunion and reconnect - I hope to see more of our classmates put up what they have been up to since high school!  We have a blog and a web album if any are interested - please let me know yours, too.
Here's to the class of 2000!

PS Since we just had Elsa, we don't have any recent family pictures, but here's a snapshot of us after Sarah had a surprise massage for her Mother's Day gift (was not on Mother's Day, but I think she liked it)...

It is crazy to think that it has been 10 years since we graduated! I attended Dixie College after high school and received my Associates of Science in Business in May 2002. That fall I moved to Cedar to attend SUU. In April 2003, I married my husband Brock (who many of you probably know from SCHS class of '99). We continued to live in Cedar where I finished my Bachelors of Accounting in Dec 2003 and my Masters of Accountancy in August of 2004. We made our way back to St. George a few months later so my husband could do his clinical hours for radiology at the hospital here. In 2007, I finally passed the CPA exam and became officially licensed. I currently work part time for a local accounting firm and my husband works at the hospital in X-Ray and Nuclear Medicine. We also have two wonderful kids. Lainee is 5 and Parker will be 2 in a week. I'm hoping our schedules will work out so we can make it to the reunion!

Really?  10 years?  I can't believe it!  It looks like a lot of people are working really hard to make this a great reunion and I sure hope we can make it!  I remember graduating and thinking that I would have so much time to explore and play before finding my "Mr. Right".  Little did I know, that he was waiting right around the corner for me!  I started college at UVU and my room mate and his room mate were dating.  It was inevitable that we would meet, and from the first time we met I knew he was someone special.  8 months later we were married.  That's right people, it's almost been 9 years of marriage for me...whew!!  Since I was so young, and we had lots of schooling ahead we waited to have kids for 5 years.  I finished school and I worked as a Regional Property Manager for 4 years where I oversaw several large apartment complexes throughout the Wasatch Front.  I loved it but it consumed my life, and I was ready for a change.  My husband Ryan got his masters in Occupational Therapy and started working for Alpine School District right in time for us to start a family.  I am now lucky enough to be a stay at home mom of 2 great kids, that always seem to keep me busy.  Paisley, who is almost 4, and Noah, who is almost 2.  We have settled in Lehi, and hope to stay in this area.  Our lives are busy and crazy, but we love it!

This is so fun to see what everyone has been up to! I can't believe it has been 10 years since I left St. George to move to Logan and attend USU. I'm still here in Logan, and yes, I'm done with school! It was on USU campus that I met the president of the Extreme Tubing Club (an actual school-sponsored club), joined the club, and then married the president about 10 months later. My husband, Mitch, is a CPA working for a firm here in Logan, and I work at the hospital as a Registered Dietitian every other Saturday. Mostly I stay home with my 2 girls, Marin, who is 4, and Kate, who just turned 1. They are the loves of our lives. We love living in Logan, but I'm still not quite used to the freezing weather. Maybe in another 10 years! I am excited to hopefully see you all at our reunion!

Lindsay (Moore) Vandermyde

Since graduating high school, I went on to get my Associate’s of Science Degree from Dixie State College of Utah. After enjoying the awesome sun & social scene at Dixie, I moved up to Ogden to attend Weber State University where I graduated with a BS in Rocket Science, or maybe it was Health Promotions (a.k.a. Preventative Wellness). I always get them confused! Silly me.  After graduating I worked for 6 months in Salt Lake (still living in Ogden—why? Fantastic roommates I couldn’t bear to leave. Don’t recommend the commute, though!) at the State Health Department and then moved back to St. George and started working in Marketing/Promotions for a local car dealership (currently still there—6 years!). While I was still in St. George,  I decided to visit a friend in Salt Lake and go country swing-dancing at Trolley Square one fateful 4th of July weekend in 2005.  It was there I saw the man I was going to marry—Brandon Vandermyde. We met initially at Dixie College, went on one date, and 5 years later we met again. We danced, and the next night I invited him to join us for the Oakley Rodeo. Then Monday was fireworks at Sugarhouse Park—and there were fireworks if ya know what I mean…wink, wink!! (I know, feel free to roll your eyes, but I couldn’t resist.) So after about a year of dating, we married in Salt Lake but settled in St. George (now in Bloomington). Brandon does Commercial Real Estate and umpires College Baseball on the side every spring. On December 26, 2008, we had our first (and only) baby, Mason Ace Vandermyde. Now, our life revolves around him—we love it!
See you at the reunion!

Savanna (Tate) Hansen

Wow these last 10 years have really flown by.  After graduating from High School I finished up Hair School and then moved to Salt Lake City and found a job.  I loved doing hair, but didn't love living right in the middle of Downtown Salt Lake.  After about a year of living in Salt Lake  I ended up moving to Logan with some cousins.  I worked in a salon and just loved Logan.  While living in Logan I met my great husband Dan.  He was going to school at Utah State.  We got married in January 2003 and moved to Brigham City Utah. He graduated from Utah State about 6 months after we were married.  His family owns the GM Dealership in Brigham City.  Dan is the New Car Sales Manager.  We will hopefully be in Brigham City forever.  We really love it here.  I love the mountains!   We have 3 beautiful children.  Kylie (almost 6) is in Kindergarten and my Best helper!  Tyeson (3) has SO much energy.  He keeps us going all the time.  Jordan was born this last January and has been a great addition to our family.  He is such a good baby.   I still can't believe I have 3 kids.  I LOVE being a stay at home Mom.  I also have a hair salon in the basement of my home and I am able to do hair a little too.  It works out great and is a great "out" for me.  I am just loving life and feel so lucky.  I am sad I won't be making it to the reunion.  It would be fun to see all of you.  Thank goodness for blogs and facebook to help keep us all in touch.  I hope to hear from more of you on this blog!  *Go Warriors*  :)

Like many of you, in the same moment I feel like it has ONLY been 10 years, I also can't believe it has been this long since graduation. After graduation, I moved to live with my mom on Oahu, HI were she was a nanny for a family. I spent several months there learning to surf and enjoying the tropical life-style. Then reality hit, and I returned to St. George in the Fall of 2000 to attend Dixie (like the majority of you). I attended Dixie for 2 years and one semester shy of my Associates degree, before I decided to go on an LDS mission. In the summer of 2002 I received my call to serve in the Buenos Aires North Mission in Argentina. I left May 2003 and returned home in early May 2005. While working in the summer of 2005 I met my wife in our singles ward at Dixie. Kristen is from Davis County and was attending Dixie on a Volleyball scholarship, and I was finishing my last semester. Kristen and I dated for a little over a year before we got married in the Salt Lake Temple; August 5, 2006. We then returned to Southern Utah to finish our degrees; mine a BS in Communications and Kristen's a BA in History from SUU. Kristen and I both found work in the SLC area after graduating from college, Kristen works for an art gallery as a Gallery Specialist and I work for Intermountain Healthcare as a Community Liaison. Last April we had our first kid, a boy we named Boedi. It has been a different experience this last year changing diapers, going through the pains of teething, and cleaning up after a baby, but it is definitely worth it. Life has changed a lot over the last 10 years, but I can honestly say it keeps getting better, everyday. I look forward to seeing all of you at the reunion.

Hello Class of 2000!
I am really surprised I dared to post something - especially after reading all of your wonderful stories and seeing your pictures!  I guess I did this partly as an excuse in case I decide to be "too shy" and not go to the reunion.
Where to start....After high school (to put it in the words of those of you who I talked to a year after graduating, I "disappeared" to DSC and completed an Associates Degree (in 1 year) then went to BYU (from 2001-2004) - and despite all my younger brother Jacob's friends' bets (which if I cashed in, I would have a really good amount of money...), remained single...graduating in April of 2004 with a double major - in Music and Elementary Education.
From there I worked for 2 1/2 years as a music specialist in elementary schools in Provo and Orem, Ut., then moved to Salt Lake and completed my Masters of Music degree (finished in April 2009).  In August I got a job here in Ivins, Ut. working at Vista Charter school teaching CHOIR and VOCAL LESSON.  (If any of you are looking for a GREAT and EXTRAORDINARY piano or vocal teacher for all those kids you have, give me a holler! nielsenamyan@yahoo.com).   Well, I wrote a whole lot more than I was intending and hope I didn't bore any of you.  You are all very lucky!  My claim to "fame" right now must lie in the two MOST ADORABLE nieces any aunt could ever have-although I can't really even take any credit for that! (I can however, take credit for being the '"favorite" aunt though! :) Well, guess that's all for now.  It has been fun reading all your posts and I hope some of you will drop me an email!  (If you remember me- I know I was pretty shy and quiet all through high school.  Unfortunately I grew out of that...most of the time anyways...)!
